Clarification on All Weather Pools vs. Swim Spas

To the HOA

I’d like to take a moment to clarify the terminology surrounding All Weather Pools and Swim Spas, as there may be some confusion regarding their differences. In reality, these two terms describe the same type of product, and the distinction is purely a matter of branding.

Arctic Spas, a well-known manufacturer, uses the term All Weather Pool as part of their marketing strategy to differentiate their line of swim spas from competitors. However, functionally and structurally, these pools operate identically to what other brands refer to as Swim Spas. They provide the same benefits, including adjustable water currents for swimming in place, therapeutic jets for relaxation, and temperature control for year-round use.

Just like traditional swim spas, All Weather Pools are self-contained units designed for both fitness and leisure. They do not require extensive in-ground construction, and they can be installed above or partially in-ground, much like other swim spas on the market.

Given this clarification, any HOA rules or regulations that apply to swim spas should also apply to All Weather Pools, as they do not introduce any new or unique considerations. The term is simply a branding choice by Arctic Spas and does not indicate a fundamentally different type of pool.
